Got laid off by my previous company due to no quota.
My svp will expired on march 31,2021 . but I got hired by a new company ,but the company said that we must wait 28 days for the job posting on my careers so they can apply my s pass. The job ad was posted last march 13,2021. Most probably they can apply my s pass application on april 9 or 10. The problem is my ex employer is asking me to book a flight and then i book a flight on april 28. Is it possible that my application svp will got approve?

Is there any consequences if my application of extension get rejected?

Aldo_Scientist

Have you applied for extension?

Hi Aldo_Scientist, my current situation is like this.
My SVP exp on 31March2021, I am actually waiting for my new employer's ads to be finished to be posted @ MyCareerFuture, most probably it'll take 28 days.
Alright, as my calculation the ads will be finished 9-10 April 2021 then my new employer can Key-in me on the MOM system for S Pass application.

The problem is like running out of time. I told my new employer about my situation and told me that they need to void my application with them once I stepped in the Philippines.

Then I went to my ex-employer, she suggested to book a flight ticket, I booked 28 April 2021. For me to have borrowed time for my future job application.

But I am worried that if I submitted a 28 April 2021 flight, then my SVP Expiration date is 31March 2021. Is is questionable or auto rejected?. Philippine govt submitted a restriction order pertaining to maximum of 1,500 incoming passengers inbound to Philippines.

Do you think ICA will approved it or not?

I do really need this job and I really need to stay in Singapore for 1 more month to save my future & love one future. <3

If ever my 28 April2021 extension request got denied, what will happen to me? Or what do I need to do?

Please, guys your response is deeply appreciated.

As on or before 31.Mar., when your SVP expires, no other pass will have been applied for, you cannot get an extension based on that.
The only alternative is leaving the country temporarily - or getting some other kind of visa (which is unlikely).

prinsesa.prinsipe.5

even if there is no flights going back to the Philippines? and have restrictions?

beppi

If there are no flights to your country (are there really?), your ex-employer can apply for an SVP extension.

Then I went to my ex-employer, she suggested to book a flight ticket, I booked 28 April 2021.

What is the difference between MOM and ICA incase of filing or requesting a extension on SVP?

beppi

The SVP you get after cancellation of a work pass is issued by MoM.
All other SVPs are issued by ICA.

Hi Princessa,

I able to get an extension after I Got laid off from my previous company
What you need to do just book a ticket to your home country 2 weeks(14 April) after your last day 31 March and inform your previous company to upload the flight ticket to MOM website. This extension no need approval as long as you previous employer willing to extend this for you.

Thanks

Aldo_Scientist

hello, May I just ask how long it take to be processed? thank you 🙏🏻
