Hi All

I need some suggestions on my EP getting a downgrade to S pass.

I am currently holding EP and having 13 years of experience with a master's degree. In the past, I have been holding EP for 3years in Singapore.

Due to new salary criteria, my EP renewal is not possible. My company is planning to downgrade my pass.
Is there a possibility to get my pass approved?
Seeking advice from experienced group members.

With a Master degree. and so much experience, you are clearly in EP category.
I doubt that you would be approved with a salary that is far too low for your market value (and thus places you in S-Pass range).

In SAT  tool it shows I am eligible for an S pass with a salary of SGD 6200.

Same thing happened with me. My EP renewal was rejected because my salary didn't meet new salary criteria. Unfortunately, there is no other way then to apply for S Pass. I hold S Pass now. In future, you can try for higher salary and EP.

EP downgrade to S pass, Is the application require a job posting for 28 days in Jobsbank prior to the application?

Very good question! I suppose it's not required - but better ask MoM (and report here, so we know, too!).

No, jobs bank doesn’t have EP/ S Pass categorically outlined. A post can correspond to either, what’s key is the salary and skills outlined, basically righteous information.

hi
I need some suggestions, my salary didn't meet the new salary criteria so downgraded to 'S' pass.

Date of application is 19-08-2021 and the status is still pending.

May I know the processing time of your pass renewal from EP to S pass?

beppi

Nuveshn: This question has been discussed numerous times on the forum. Please read about current processing times in related threads!
And: Yours is a new application, not renewal, because you change pass.

Did you manage to read through the threads on this forum? I don’t think you did. Literally every 2/3rd post here is about ‘time taken’ to get approvals and the rejection reasoning.

Anyways, it is beyond the normal time frame of 8 weeks so do have your application submitted reach out to MoM and ask for an update and request the review to be expedited.

nuveshnreddy

My HR has contacted MOM.

Respond from mom officer: "We have sent out the letter regarding your company application, so sorry we cannot expedite for u"

Employer comment:
Is an official letter from TAFEP; the application needs 3-4 months and cannot expedite at all.

Is this true? For EP to Spass downgrade will it take 3-4 months?

This is not true as a general statement, but apparently in your specific case some formalities take that long. (I don't understand what you wrote above, but there is no reason to doubt MoM's prediction.)
