Hi All,

HR had called me after EP approval and say you can resign from your current company.
But they never gave me joining date over the email.
Now I am serving notice and 2 weeks remaining.
Since last 4 days I am trying to contact HR and Tech managers about my joining date but NO bodies are  responding over the Phone/Email/WhatsApp.

Please suggest what to do.

Do you have your IPA? Or u just resigned without anything at hand?

gautamsingh44

I have IPA of myself and my dependents.

Check your employment contract for the start date. If that (and the IPA) doesn't mention it, it is by mutual arrangement with the employer. You could suggest your preferred start date and ask them if that is fine.

Hum I'm in the same boat now, EP was approved last Friday, now waiting for IPA, a bit nervous since looking around the forums people seems to get IPA immediately or the day after, but no communication from HR thus far. Although I do have a join date and HR asked me not to resign until I have EP Approved, and I have not resigned just to be safe before I receive my IPA, and the join date on my offer letter is not possible seeing I have 1 month notice.

This is entirely up to your current company. In my current company they do allow it so I can leave earlier

Isn't the joining date usually TBA? I mean it's supposed to move based on your EP approval time, better confirm with your HR

cus job confirm at 1st September, so we confirmed to start on 1st November, seems enough timing for the pass application, but who knows there is a rejection and have to appeal.. lol..

Same with you that join date for new company is 1 Nov, but EP rejected recently and HR told me they would submit appeal in a day or two. May I know how long you have been waiting for the appeal result? I have asked HR to see if they can revise the join date due to delay of EP..
