Hello everyone,

Does anyone has experience in applying entry approval for a family member? What are the current options for persons I can bring in to Singapore?

It depends on from which country you bring your family. Recently 8 countries are added into the list where lesser quarantine measurements is required. Secondly, if travellers are fully vaccinated then it is easier side of restrictions.

My husband (SC) emailed them to get me my STP through FTL on compassionate grounds (we made a case on a number of reasons). We were rerouted to a different link to apply for the STP - this needs to be given by ICA directly as it has the OTPs to let you in. We gave up on the portal since i couldn’t get a date after 1 week of trying.

Hi Brittney, can I check what are the reasons you gave? I (SC) have been trying to get my parents-in-law over as well via appealing to ICA, but they still rejected me :( The portal is pretty useless as all the dates are always unavailable....

I said that my husband is starting new job on 1 Sep, I am also pregnant and need to travel within second trimester. If we delayed, it would affect my ability to travel while pregnant. We are also fully vaccinated with Pfizer.

Use the website inquiry form for all this - that’s how we got the direct links from ICA.

We provided  my husband’s NRIC, my Passport number, vaccination certificate, flight itinerary - everything we thought would be useful.

Good luck!!

Thank you Brittney for sharing with us about your experience applying for FTL. I would like to know how long did it took for the officers to approve your entry?

Brittney Teo

From our first website enquiry to the date approval, it took 10 days.

Hi Brittney! Thanks a lot for sharing this. This is super helpful! :)

I have read your replies and wanted to be sure, to initiate the process, was it (1) or (2) below that you guys did?
(1) Email ICA on their general email
(2) Submit an enquiry form - is this form from the Safe Travel website?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Brittney Teo

We actually did both simultaneously - I submitted website enquiry form, my husband emailed them. But my entry pass was approved through my process.

So, we:
1. Submitted website enquiry form, applied for entry under compassionate grounds and I attached all information I thought would assist. ICA will send you confirmation email.

2. ICA will reach out to you with any further requests for information (if any). Submit requested docs.

3. 2 days after I submitted website enquiry form ICA sent me a link to submit an entry application, accompanied by an OTP. This is basically similar to the website enquiry form so repurpose the information you submitted through the website inquiry and any other particulars you think will be useful.

4. 8 days later, ICA asked me to make an application under the FTL via another specific link. They gave me an appeal reference number. This website looks similar to the Safe Travel Portal. I completed my application, paid the fee for my Day 7 PCR test and received my letter of approval to enter Singapore.

Check both yours and your sponsor’s emails for any communication from the ICA. I think the email for Step 4 actually came through my husband’s email as he was sponsor, not me.

Good luck all :) hope that helps.

Hi, anyone travelling into Singapore from Europe under familial ties? Spouse is Singaporean and will return together.

Both fully vaccinated.

Hannah Pan

Hi, may I know where are you returning from?

surya2k

To visit Singapore or returning to Singapore very much depending from which country you are coming from. Govt has given relaxation to certain countries. Recently People from Germany can visit here without home quarantine as long as your swab test comes as negative at Changi airport’.

My wife applied online for the FTL for me and received approval within minutes.  Perhaps due to her being a spouse and our being based in Hk.  One question I have is if we can’t travel during the dates specified on the FTL pass, is it possible to amend the dates?  Should we just apply for a new pass?

5. What if i am unable to enter Singapore within the validity of my STP?
You are not allowed to amend the date of entry or seek a refund or the payment (if applicable) of the COVID-19 PCR test and SHN dedicated facility once the application has been approved. You would need to resubmit a new application via the SafeTravel Portal and make a second payment for the new STP.

If you require an amendment of the entry date on the STP due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. cancellation of flight by the airline provider). You may write in to ICA for consideration via our enquiry form here, with the relevant supporting documents attached.
