Hi Guys,

Would like to know if anyone in to similar situation.

My EP has been applied by Global Bank based in Singapore, MOM took over 8 week to reject the application with below timeline.

Question: Given below inputs what are the chances of EP Approval up on appeal? and How would MOM perceive new salary numbers provided in appeal compare to Initial EP Application (9.8K to 10.5K) Salary offered by New employeer was 22% hike initially and now 15% with new revised salary in current employeer.

Employeer Applying EP: Banking, Global Bank, MNC
My Experience: 13+ Year
My Education: BE In Computers
My Nationality: Indian
I have been in SG from last 7-8 years, last 6 year no change in job.

Offered Role: Specialist Role on Data & Analytics Technology
EP Applied: Mid July
Current Salary when applied EP on Mid July: 9.8K per Month
Offered Salary (New Employeer) : 12 K per month (22% Hike)

Rejected: 2-Sep
Rejected Reason: Initially on Salary hike, once employer justified salary, further questions asked by MOM on hiring process and why selected this person over Locals.

Employeer have justification on process now and applied for Appeal: This week

With Current Employeer Salary Mentioned as 10.5K (now increase is 15%: 10.5K to 12K)
This is due to I have got hike from current Employer from 9.8K to 10.5 K (Starting July 1) per month.

Note : no change salary offered by new employeer this is 12K in initial application and appeal.

In case someone has been to similar situation or have recent appeal which is approved this will boost my confidence.

Thanks

beppi

If the new employer found out and addressed the rejection reason in the documents or justification submitted with the appeal, MoM will evaluate these and make a new decision. Nobody other than MoM can (and will) tell you your chances - especially as we here don't know the details of your case.

Got my EP Approved yesterday.
Appeal worked with proper justification to MOM.

If the salary was too high, it should be reduced on appeal.
But since that route was abused too often (with salary changes only existing on paper), MoM will most likely reject that, too. Time to look for another job/employer!
