Hello good day,

I'm an Indian working in Singapore for 6 years now, working as in Inside Sales for a Biotech company.
My new employer would like to hire me under an E-pass (they don't have S pass quota) and upon doing the SAT, it is shown that in order for me to qualify for an E-pass, I need to get 7050/mo salary. The current company has approved this amount but my concern is, will it get approved given that the salary hike is 138%?

Current salary: 2950
New salary: 7050
Relevant working experience: 7 years 11 mos

My current company will be shutting down mid-Nov and new employer has just posted the job in mcf.sg so we need to wait additional 28 days more before applying the E-pass.

S-pass - will be cancelled on the 19th Nov
E-pass - will be applied on the 19th Nov also

After 19th Nov I will only have 1 month to stay in SG.

* I have another offer for S pass, should I just be safe and take this offer instead?

I'd really appreciate your input.

One month is not enough for EP approval in most cases, so prepare to leave Singapore at least temporarily.
I also wonder how you got a work pass for your current job, given that you are so grossly underpaid there?

Hi,

EP application takes min 3weeks (which usualy they don't approve) and max takes 3months time similiarly happened in my application where I applied EP on 19Jul and got approved on 29th Oct'21.

With regards to salary yes 100% ur application will be rejected and u need to show the valid reason why your employer need you and why not locals? If they are satisfied with your employer reason they will approve.

Hope this will help you to understand how the process works.

Regards,

Arjun
