Shekhz

There is very little info shared, except you mentioning the salary as per SAT. What advice are you looking at?

world creater

Yes as per SAT 6200  only we will mentioned  salary and applied  but 2 times I got rejected same reason I want go appeal I can  add salary or not incase  add means how much salary want to add

Shekhz

Mate, please read my msg again.

You have not provided any additional/ background information, based on what you have messaged, all I understand is you are keying data into the SAT tool and have proceeded with a 6.2K salary, without knowing your industry, qualifications, experience and relevant qualifications etc- only Lord Almighty can do the guess work :) alternatively you may want your employer to ask MoM if the salary is Low or High for you :)

beppi

If the application is rejected because of too low salary, obviously MoM expects it higher.
If your next application is within their expected range, this rejection reason is removed (but there may be others).

Hi. My EP application is rejected as well. I was offered with a Project Engineer role with the salary of 3k. May I know how to check for the reason of rejection?

The minimum salary for EP is S$4500/month. Your employer should have known that the application has no chance of success below that!

It  is  not  common  for  companies  to  employ  candidates  with  similar  credentials  at  your  declared  salary.  We  need  to  ensure  that you  will  be  paying  the  salary  and  be  convinced  that  the  salary  for  the  candidate  is  justified,  especially  if  there  has  been  a significant  change  from  the  past  salary  drawn.  For  renewals,  please  show  us  proof  of  the  actual  salary  paid  to  the  candidate  in the  last  3  months.  It  will  help  your  case  if  you  can  submit  documents  to  show  your  company  has  the  finances  or  other  means to  sustain  your  business  operations,  including  your  employees'  salaries.

This is reason for my ep got rejected I want to go appeal any use for appeal

beppi

It says that the offered salary is unusual (they don't say whether too high or too low) for somebody with your background. They doubt that it will actually be paid and that the company has the financial means for it.
The appeal should convince MoM that the doubts are unjustified and the benefits of hiring you will be higher than the cost.

Hello Guys,

thanks for this wonderful group and so much great EP advice posts for expats.

I would like to get advice about my EP case. I have been a manager in a restaurant for the past 4 years with EP, graduated in Singapore with Hospitality & Tourism Advance Diploma and Bachelors degree from India.

My EP is expiring on 22/02/2022

We applied for a renewal  on 31/08/21 but after 3 months it got rejected with the reason given "We have noted a significant increase in the declared salary compared to the candidate's preview applications. This salary does not match with his/her credentials"

We have explained in the appeal the reason (significant amount of responsibilities, contributed to growth of company) for my promotion  to General Manger and Salary increment.

So its been 3 weeks and still waiting for MOM appeal answer. Yesterday my employer called MOM regarding my appeal status but again they said we need inputs from other agencies?

We don't know who the other agencies are,, is there anyone who can assist us or guide. How long do we need to wait for the other agency to reply.

@Shekh/Beppi, please feel free to share your opinion about the above matter.

Many thanks

beppi

Kapoorkaras: The employer can try contacting MoM to find out which agencies are involved - but MoM is under no obligations to tell (so hope for an understanding case officer!).
These agencies take as long as they need to do their job. This depends very much on the agency, type of verifications needed and how quickly your home country authorities, schools and/or employers reply.
If it takes too long and you don't want to wait any longer, the employer can cancel the application at any time.

Shekhz

MoM doesn’t share which agency is engaged for a review, first hand experience. It’s a wait and watch scenario in your case.

Usually agencies are involved for educational background checks. For Indians, it’s pretty common given some recent reports of fraudulent degrees.

Hi Guys,

Actually, when we applied for the renewal the first time, they had the line about reviewing the agencies too. Now they need inputs from other agencies again. I was wondering why they have to contact these agencies again. Is it related to the reason they gave for the rejection, about my credentials not matching the salary?

thanks

Hi Guys,

Finally, my EP appeal has been approved today. So it took 4 weeks for the appeal,  yesterday my company contacted again MOM officer to share the feedback.

So finally today status has been changed to approve. And it's approved for 36 months. God’s great, stay calm and pray harder 🙏

Good luck to rest 💪

Thank you Beppi/Shekh
