Mistake in my EP Application

Hi all,

I have a Work Pass Application in progress. Latest result i check from EPOL:
- Date of Application     : 26/11/2021
- Pass Type     : EMPLOYMENT PASS
- Status     : Pending

Last night (14 Dec), I was kind of anxious from all the waiting, so I went in to read all my submitted documents again. I realised that I made a mistake in my EP application form, where one of my previous working experiences end date is wrong (supposed to be xx/xx/2019, but fat finger me typed xx/xx/2017. really shot myself in the foot). I have notified my new employer's HR about this mistake, and still waiting for them to get back. MOM has not communicate anything since the beginning.

Just want to seek some advice here if anyone has had a similar experience, and is there any action I should take?

Some more background info about myself:
- This is EP application is for my 3rd job in Singapore
- Previous 2 jobs are both in Singapore as well, on EP
- I got my undergrad degree in Singapore as well, from NTU

The employer should quickly correct that mistake with MoM.
If you submitted the correct data in your previous applications, it is obviously a mistyping and should be no problem.

Not related to your main issue but I applied on 23/11 ! So close to yours. On 12/12, I realized the Pending changed to We need inputs from ..... Until now, still waiting. good luck for both of us

All the best to you! Hope we both get it before the holidays🙌

Btw, I just got a response from my Employer HR. She mentioned MoM is actually requesting them for some additional documents as an employer. She asked me for my payslips & bank statement, so I guess it could be salary verification related. Meanwhile, status on EPOL is still Pending. I just sent all the docs in and now back to waiting.

karencaution, maybe you should check in with your Employer HR, just to see if there's any news? I think sometimes HR can get swamped and miss out on getting updates on your application

Hi, I see wow I didnt know payslips could be requested. Never stumbled on something similar reading the threads here.
I just spoke to the HR yesterday. She said she has been chasing MOM to expedite the process. Btw, my status just changed from We need inputs ... to Pending again just now ! So weird haha. Its really hard to get the pass, waiting is very long...

sorry for spam, i cant edit my comment. turns out i had the same issue as u, i input the wrong education details. hr is going to appeal. were u able to fix your education details?

ohh i see. in my case, my HR said MOM hasn't complained about my mistake yet, so we'll wait until they do to clarify 😂for now, just submitting more documents

Employer can recall an application, rectify the mistake and submit again (a nominal charge applies). Cleaner and faster that ways.

@karencaution: When it goes back to pending, it implies they have received the inputs MoM was waiting for, application is back in review. If the additional info from employers and/ or agencies is sufficient, you get an approval- else you have just witnessed the outcome.
