Hi all
my new employer applied my Spass on 10 jan and  send me SS the application and payment details. but they didnt put my existing Fin no and put wrong informations on Religion and Race. and 4 days from now when i use my existing fin no/ name - passport no/ DOB to check the pass status It only showed Error no record found.
may i know is it because of the wrong informations of religion/ race and forget to put my Fin no on applications?  somebody please explain to help me ease from this stress. :dumbom:

The employer should quickly contact MoM to correct the mistakes.
Wrong race is not a minor error and can lead to rejection!

Shinejoe

well noted.  i will do so.
also is it ok not to put existing Fin number on new applications?

beppi

If the other data is same as last time, MoM will find the missing FIN. But giving the wrong FIN is of course a problem.

Shinejoe

thanks a million!

Hi beppi,

I’m a malaysian, currently got an offer from a company, but my spass have been rejected twice. the first time, i found out that they wrongly entered my passport issued date, so i have asked the HR to correct it and they appeal it the next day . Few days later, my appeal have been invalid too, ive asked the  HR to sent me the application that they have sent to MOM and now i found out that they have entered my race and religion wrongly. MOM statement to the invalid application is ”not eligible for working pass, find a new candidate”. is it possible that the wrong race and wrong religion leads to this statement?

beppi

@Tan Leen All applications are evaluated based on many criteria - most of them are explained in this forum, which you should read. Race and religion do play a role, but as far as I can tell not a major one. But applications with inconsistent or wrong data will be rejected without fail.

@beppi

thankyou beppi for replying!

Hi Beppi, there’s a new update regarding my Spass application form. i have found out that the occupation column in the application they have written project management manager. and the salary they stated in the application is $2300-$3000. But in the offer letter that they sent to me stated Project Engineer. The salary they offered me which stated in the offer letter is $3000. I have no idea what is the reason and how can the person who filled in the application for me able to make this kind of errors. Plus I just worked 1 year as an engineer. It doesn’t make sense at all if they hire me as a manager. I am worried whether the previous two rejected application will affect my future work pass application. Should I call MOM and report to them what had happened?

beppi

@Tan Leen What do you want to report to MoM - that there was a mistake in an already rejected application? This will not interest anyone at MoM!

Tan Leen

if i report to MOM will they be aware of what the company had done to my application? While the company insisted that there’s nothing wrong with their end. And also, if my future company apply work pass application for me, at least MOM will be aware regarding this issue which caused the rejection of my application with the previous company

beppi

@Tan Leen Even if you manage to get the report into your profile at MoM, the next application will still be  assessed by what the employer submits. If there are discrepancies (also to previous information), it can be rejected.
