Newly arrived in Arequipa

I'm from the US but then I lived in Colombia for about 10 1/2 years (most of that time I was illegal), now I have relocated again, this time to Arequipa. My plan is to get legal this time, so I already have the INTERPOL document, next week I will contact Social Security, then I can start with immigrations.

Did you stay inside the country all that time or did you enter and exit via Pasto?
