Hello

Im currently in the process of getting my New Zealand citizenship by descent however Im in the need of a witness as the one I had in NZ has recently passed away.

The last time I went to NZ was when I was 10 years old and im traveling just now in July.

What is expected of the witness?
If they have to testify to anything that requires knowing you personally, it would be impossible for a stranger from a forum to do so legally.
