Reduced rate VAT on new housing

The government plans to implement a temporary reduction of the VAT rate (to 6%) for construction and renovation work intended for permanent housing.

i understand this has yet to be discussed in parliament .

does anyone know the timescale for these kind of things to get through and when the reduction temprary reductiuon may start ?
