Welcome to Expat.com RB1,

I moved your presentation to the Philippines forum.

Have you already contacted the embassy to get information about visas ?

Hi RB1
I always suggest a 21day visit here which u can do without a visa. If u haven't done so, go to the place u think u will like an check them out. U can book airfare in Phill on internet
with Cebu Pacific also good hotels.
U will get plenty of advice here over the next week as well

To check out cebu and others for 21 days
how much money do you think I would need?
Once I get there

Hi, I am interested in living in the Phillippines
Someone gave me a very good idea that I should visit for 21 days and check it out.
Can anyone suggest a cheap hotel in Cebu, Naga and Subic Bay?
Or any other cities I should see.
How much money do you think I would need after hotel cost and airplane fares. This is very new to me

Ron not sure airfares from USA but return fares from Aust
are around $1200AU Domestic are cheap Manila-Naga are under $100
one way, good hotel Naga about $25 (1000p) per nite with breaky
If u allowed $50 (2000p) per day transport and food
and u visited 3 city for 20days $3500 would do easy
I believe u should change ur $US to pesos at Bank in USA because
airports are not good rate, U shold get over 40p per $us now
U can purchase all airfare and pay online, and if u have current US passport no need to worry the return ticket to Us get u entry for 21days also book any accom in Manila online but blogger will suggest good cheap hotel in say Cebu itc
