Official Documents for Working in Vietnam

Post new topic

Hi all,

Please help!

I'm arriving in Vietnam in a few weeks to do a CELTA course and will be looking for work after that. Can ANYBODY give me anything like a straight answer to the following questions please (I've failed at getting one in the UK...)

Do I need to have my documents (degree certificate, QTS, police check etc) notarised and legalised in the UK? Does this have to be with a Notary Public or will a solicitor's signature suffice?

I've been told yes (which will cost an arm and a leg) and no (get it all done in Vietnam).

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. My head hurts.

Thanks,
Ted

I believe your question has been answered in several threads. The last one just yesterday. All you have to do is search.

Thanks for that. Much appreciated.

Doing the same with my docs here in the US.

I had my university degree and police check authenticated here in the US.  The authentication takes place at the university and then (in the US) the individual state sec. of state office.

This link may help you for UK legalisation >>http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/about-us/what- … alisation/
