Hi all!!, I know I can´t bring booze to Tripoli, but I´m not quite sure about Ham (Iberican). Will I have any problems at the airport? Is it prohibited, or they just don´t eat it?

Thanx in advance.

It's forbidden to import any sort of pork meat...

Well, I think that a BIG barbecue with those chorizos will take place for your departure.

Definately!!! Actually it has already begun!!!

I know of people who have brought pork back (and quite a bit).  They didn't have any problems at customs.  I think they're only really after alcohol.

I also brought back 2 kgs of different pork meat(salami, jamon, sausages...) without any issues at the airport customs.

I had a friend who 'tried' that in Qatar. 3 days in jail. Honest. True.

A friend of mine has just come back from Scotland with about 3 kgs of bacon in his case, it was searched and customs didn't care.
