Getting married in france

Hello canucks,

I am from Toronto. and since last december i moved to france to live with my girl friend, she is a resident but does not hold a french passport.
I am asking you guys if you have any info on how to get married here without having to go through french embassy in Toronto.

I am trying to get me a carte sejour so i can get a job and settle with her.
Any help is really appreciated.
