ER Visa application

Post new topic

Hi
I applied for an ER (Retirement) Visa, paid the $290 to the travel agent, that was 4 weeks ago. I have gone and asked her many times in that period, is there a problem, and was told no just wait. I stayed here previously for 12 months on a ER visa and had no problems, I got it back after one week. I have retired from working and am self funded do not receive a pension and am 66. I was hoping somebody could give me information on why its taking this long, similar problem, and what to do.

Hello Pat.

You are entitled to a ER extension due to your age, without any documentation.

What could cause the delay is if they investigate the possibility that you worked, had issues with Police or Immigration department and so on.

Usually it takes 7 - 10 days to process the extension.

Where are you located? Same place as your agent?

Hope it will be sorted out quickly.

Good luck.
