Hooray,
I have a date to meet prefecteur for permanent residence., I love it here so much. I am taking a course with Avignon University and its an amazing place of study. Provence is really super and the people so nice.

Super! We've just put our hose on the market and are hoping to move to central France this year. Been nervous as to whether we are doing the right thing so its good to know that you like it so much. Did you move from England and do you speak French? Ruth

Bonjour Monsieur et Madame,
Yes i can speak some French. My grandfather was French. Its so nice to slow down the pace of life. I walk into the village , see the market and the French discuss how to make sauces and pick up my baguette . They are so polite here. The sun , well it shines through winter , no grey days, no pollution, the air is so good.The countryside is so beautiful and wildlife is so pretty too. The cost of living is cheaper. Supermarkets charge more but the markets save you money. Organic Artisan food, they are really into good health here. Cycle everyday. The stress of Uk is not in Provence, They live longer here. x

Good to hear! Nice to read positive, happy posts! Waiting for mine, but I'm patient. I'm in Bordeaux City with a French wife, so it's a bit more hectic lifestyle!!

Hi FSRDU

we moved from Belgium to the center of France (la Nièvre) .... didn't regret it one single day. We do live far from convenience stores and there's not a lot of industry etc around here but that just makes things so amazing ... I feel like I have travelled back in time to my youth when I see the amazing nature, calm, freedom, animal life that surrounds us !!! good luck to you !!!
