Have your country changed since the adheration?

Do you think the EU adheration is a benefit or not? What are your reasons? Have your country changed since the adheration?

ps: I am asking this because lately I keep seeing people that are not glad of their country's adheration.

West and East European cultural values are significantly different. By West I refer to Northwest obviously, UK/Ireland, Scandinavia and Germany etc. The traditional "West" values are fundementally different.

Within West Europe is the large north/south divide as well, between Northwest Europe and the Meditarannean countries.

Therefore in theory, all of Europe should be able to cope within the Union when North/South can ... and of course Turkey should be allowed to join the EU! Turkish cultural values are as close to the rest of South European values than East European are to West European values!
